1. Who operates Omaha
Omaha: Family Rummy (“Omaha,” “the app,” “we,” or “us”) is developed and operated by Pieter De Vries. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to omaharummy@gmail.com.
2. Information stored on your device
Omaha stores game progress, settings, audio and notification preferences, default hand sorting, local and friend statistics, selected table and card-back styles, nearby display name, and a randomly generated installation identifier on your device. This information helps the app remember your choices and continue unfinished games.
3. Multiplayer information
Game Center
If you use Game Center, Apple may provide player identifiers and display names needed to create and operate turn-based matches. Match participants, match status, game state, and related statistics may be processed through Apple’s Game Center services.
Nearby multiplayer
Nearby Match uses Apple’s Multipeer Connectivity framework. Your chosen display name, random installation identifier, and encrypted game state are exchanged with the nearby players you select. Nearby game traffic is used to run the match and is not uploaded to a server operated by Pieter De Vries.
4. Advertising
The free version may display ads supplied by Google Mobile Ads. Omaha requests non-personalized, age-restricted, family-appropriate ads, applies a General ad-content rating, and disables first-party identifiers where supported. Even with these settings, Google’s advertising software may process information such as device identifiers, coarse location, product interaction, advertising data, performance data, and diagnostic data to deliver, measure, secure, and improve ads.
Omaha Plus removes interstitial ads. For details about Google’s practices, see the Google Privacy Policy.
5. Purchases
In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through StoreKit. We receive verified product and entitlement information needed to unlock your purchase. We do not receive or store your payment-card details. Apple handles billing, renewals, refunds, and subscription management under its own policies.
6. Notifications and audio
If you allow notifications, Omaha may schedule local reminders and Game Center may deliver turn notifications. You can change notification permission in iOS Settings. Music and sound-effect preferences are stored on your device.
7. Categories and purposes
Depending on the features you use, information processed by Omaha or its service providers may include name or display name, coarse location, user ID, device ID, product interaction, advertising data, crash data, performance data, and other diagnostic data.
This information is used for app functionality, multiplayer, purchase fulfillment, advertising, marketing measurement, analytics, fraud prevention, security, diagnostics, and performance improvement. Some information may be linked to you by Apple or Google. Google’s SDK may use device identifiers for tracking as described in its privacy disclosures and platform manifests.
8. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only as needed with Apple for Game Center, StoreKit, notifications, and platform services; with Google for advertising and related measurement; with nearby players you choose to connect with; or when required by law.
9. Retention and your choices
Local game data remains on your device until you delete it, reset the app, or uninstall Omaha. Multiplayer, purchase, advertising, and diagnostic information may be retained by Apple or Google according to their policies. You can limit data processing by declining notifications, avoiding optional multiplayer, purchasing Omaha Plus to remove ads, adjusting iOS privacy settings, or deleting the app.
10. Children and families
Omaha is designed to be family-friendly, but it is not currently offered in Apple’s Kids Category. The app requests non-personalized and age-restricted ads and a General content rating. Parents and guardians should supervise children’s use of online multiplayer and purchases.
11. Security, changes, and contact
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information and services involved, but no electronic system can be guaranteed completely secure. We may update this policy as Omaha changes. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are published.
